One of the East Bay’s only new office buildings is opening this week next to the San Leandro BART station, and a second phase is moving forward without a tenant.
After two years of construction, developer Westlake Urban’s San Leandro Tech Campus will be occupied this week by software company OSIsoft, which leased the first 132,000-square-foot, six-story building at the project.
San Mateo-based Westlake Urban is also preparing to start construction on the campus’ second building of about 130,000 square feet without any lease commitments. Steel has been ordered and a groundbreaking is expected early next year. The entire campus is approved for a total of five buildings and 750,000 square feet.
