Westlake Urban is proud to partner with Hilton to build a new, 150-room, five-story Hilton Garden Inn at 101 East Gish Road in North San Jose, CA. The 2.2-acre site has been in the Westlake portfolio since 1978, and as with many of Westlake’s properties, it is ideally situated for redevelopment to meet the needs of today’s South Bay economy.

North San Jose has emerged in recent years as a magnet for major tech companies, including Apple and Google, and the City of San José has begun transforming the area into a vibrant, mixed-use, hotel district. The Hilton Gardens Inn is consistent with the city’s plans to energize the area to better serve the needs of residents, visitors, and business travelers. Westlake Urban expects to break ground on the project in September 2018, and the hotel is scheduled to open in July 2022.

Project Details

• The five-story, approximately 100,000sq. ft., 150-room hotel will feature Hilton’s latest “Brighthearted” brand refresh, which focuses creating sophisticated, comfortable accommodations with a focus on sustainability.
• The exterior of the building will feature modern fiber cement panels, an anodized aluminum finish, and drought-tolerant landscaping.
• The interior of the hotel will include several small meeting spaces and a spacious gym on the fourth floor.
• The future Hilton Garden Inn is conveniently located near major highways (Route 237, Highway 101, and Interstate 880), is accessible to the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport, is close to the VTA Lightrail’s Gish Station a planned BART station, the Guadalupe River, and planned Coyote Creek trail systems.
• The project is within walking distance of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, numerous restaurants, and a bowling alley.
